Welcome!
Welcome to St. Stephen’s Episcopal
Church. If you are just passing through from one place to another linger
with us a while and enjoy a cup of coffee and friendly conversation with
likeminded people. If you’re looking for a church home, you just might
have found it. We are a growing church and we would be pleased to have you
join us on our journey. We gather here to worship the Lord and all are
welcome.
St. Stephen’s Episcopal was born in
February 1953 in a little house on Dayton Street. Between then and now, we
have grown considerably. Our last major project was to build the new
sanctuary that you now see. Come and join us as we continue our journey.

God’s Gardeners’ next
“workday” is Saturday, August 2! We need extra volunteers
to help pick up trash, pull the never-ending supply of
weeds, and water the plants and flowers. Because of the
summer heat, we will start early, about 7 a.m. then follow
our work with a morning brunch at approximately 10 a.m. in
the parish hall. Please bring a breakfast / brunch dish to
share. Contact Marsha Smith at 720-748-4207 or Elaine
Rogers at 303-750-6234 for more information. Thank you!

There is a need to add
some people to our Building closure volunteer list. I
would like to relieve the people now performing this task.
It requires a week of checking the building security in
the evening at 9:00 pm and setting the alarm system Sunday
through Saturday. Please call me if you would consider a
little volunteer work as a gift to St. Stephen’s. Thanks,
Claude

The month of August is
the last month that the Scroll will be mailed out to
everyone. While the United States has one of the least
expensive postal systems, the costs are beginning to
mount. For those of you with internet services, the Scroll
is readily available at the church website:
www.ststephensonline.org. Another way to get it is to pick
it up at the church when you come on Sundays. The Scroll
will continue to be mailed to shut-ins and people out of
town.
